PRODUCT AND PREPARATION

Q: What makes matcha "ceremonial grade"?
A: Ceremonial grade matcha comes from the youngest tea leaves, grown in shade for 3-4 weeks before harvest. It's stone-ground to an ultra-fine powder with a vibrant jade color, smooth texture, and naturally sweet flavor with no bitterness. Only about 10% of all matcha qualifies as ceremonial grade.

Q: How is your matcha different from others?
A: We source exclusively ceremonial grade matcha directly from traditional farmers in Uji, Japan. Our matcha is stone-ground to order, certified organic, and tested for quality. We never mix grades or compromise on authenticity.

Q: How should I store my matcha?
A:Keep your matcha in the refrigerator in its original tin to preserve freshness, color, and flavor. Properly stored, it will maintain peak quality for 6-12 months.

Q: Why is ceremonial grade matcha more expensive?
A: The careful cultivation process, hand-picking, traditional stone-grinding, and small batch production make ceremonial grade matcha significantly more labor-intensive than regular tea. You're investing in centuries of refined craftsmanship.

Q: Can I use this matcha for cooking?
A: While our ceremonial grade matcha can be used for culinary purposes, it's specifically optimized for traditional preparation and drinking. Its delicate flavor profile truly shines when whisked with water.

Q: How do I prepare matcha?
A: While there are many ways to prepare a good matcha, heres our perfect cup
-
pour about 1/4 cup of warm water into a matcha bowl
-
scoop 1-1&1/2 tsp of Whisk'd Matcha powder into your bowl
-
whisk your matcha in a Z or M motion till frothy
-
enjoy hot or iced over your choice of milk.
